Who Is Pak? The Mysterious Artist Drawing Attention From Collectors

March 28, 2022

Everything you need to know about one of the most prominent digital artists whose real name and identity is a complete mystery.

Even though the non-fungible token (NFTs) market is somewhat on the decline, some crypto artists have been buzzing, with NFTs being sold for millions of dollars recently. Digital artists are becoming more and more established and creating more prominent names.

Murat Pak, better known as Pak, is an established digital artist or group of artists who remain completely anonymous and use the pronouns they/them. The majority of the work created by Pak is abstract, and ‘they’ have a social media avatar of a circle and goes by the pseudonym The Nothing.

However, did you know that “Pak is a crypto NFT artist who has been around for over two decades?” In general, the digital artist mainly creates abstract art; the stunning art often focuses on geometric shapes and is highly visually stimulating.

His identity is shrouded in mystery: we know that he is the founder and lead designer of the Undream studio and creator of Archillect, artificial intelligence built to discover and share stimulating visual content on different social media.

Archillect is a real “digital revolution” as described by The Wall Journal because it is configured as a digital curator who, based on specific keywords, searches for images with minimal and aesthetically cold tones, in total autonomy, without obeying an emotional grammar or requiring external human intervention.

In the burgeoning NFT market, Pak has established himself as a creator of stunning digital artwork leveraging the most innovative technologies and media of the moment.

“The total value of his digital works is around $17,536,770.67 (8,457,896 ETH). It has sold 1,691 pieces,” says Art Rights.

Established in “1744 and with assets worth over $2.8 billion,” Sotheby’s decided to pair up with Pak because the artist is leading in the digital space.

The Sotheby’s auction was titled: The Fungible Collection. Released by Nifty Gateway, an NFT marketplace, the auction was a success, and “the digital artist saw a turnover of $16,825,999.”

Others on Twitter claim Pak is Pakistani without offering evidence, while digital sleuths in lengthy Reddit debates have tracked Pak’s sites’ IP addresses to Istanbul and Amsterdam.

But the mystery of Pak continues.
