With over 3.2 million subscribers on YouTube, Money Kicks lives a life in the upper echelons of luxury.
MEET Rashed Belhasa – a Dubai rich kid who flaunts his wealth to his huge following on social media and is the latest YouTube influencer to take up boxing.
Belhasa, who turned 20 on January 5, is set to fight none other than Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather in an exhibition match in October later this year. The 44-year-old boxing legend went 50-0 during his career that officially ended in 2016, but he has made a habit of boxing YouTubers in recent years.
Mayweather made a reported $10 million just for turning up against Logan Paul and a further $25 million from pay-per-view sales, so the world of amateur YouTube boxing is a lucrative one if nothing else.
But Money Kicks is not exactly short on cash. Dubbed as ‘Dubai’s richest teenager’ before his 20th birthday, Belhasa is the son of a billionaire construction mogul named Said Ahmed Belhasa – one of the wealthiest entrepreneurs in the United Arab Emirates – and is reportedly worth over $4 million (£2.9m).
The lavish lifestyle he portrays on Instagram and YouTube paints a picture of true opulence – a vision of a kid who has grown up with anything he wants at the tips of his fingers. Since the age of 13, Belhasa has been making videos about his million-dollar sneaker collection, reportedly over 500 pairs strong, and colour-wrapping his luxury cars.
In one video he can be seen pulling into a garage in a $300k Rolls-Royce Wraith Coupe, claiming that “this one is a daily use car, you can use it every day”.
Before long he had attracted the attention of some of the world’s biggest celebrities. Lionel Messi, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, Anthony Joshua, Paul Pogba and even Floyd Mayweather have all appeared in photos with Belhasa at his sprawling Dubai mansion that apparently boasts a full-size football pitch and a private zoo with over 500 exotic animals.
In more recent content on his social media, Money Kicks has linked up with the likes of DaBaby, Rihanna, Tyson Fury, Logan Paul, Francis Ngannou and many more A-listers. Flaunting his wealth is something that has come naturally to Money Kicks for most of his life, so it’s no surprise we see him adorned in ornate jewellery and covered from head to toe in designer brands.
Having only stepped into the professional boxing ring for the first time in July 2021, it’s safe to say Belhasa’s chances against Mayweather are pretty slim. Logan Paul weighed a full two stone heavier than him and barely landed a punch.
His first fight was against fellow Emirati YouTuber Anas Alshayib and won by unanimous decision, then again by knockout three months later against Ajmal Khan, putting him at 2-0.
But despite the overwhelming odds, the fight is due to go ahead in October. In true rich kid style, the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah’s helipad will be the site of either an unlikely victory or crushing defeat for Belhasa, but if we know one thing, it’s that both fighters will end the night with a sizeable chunk of cash in their pockets.
