The Sentry is situated within the American Copper Buildings, perhaps the most eye-catching addition to the famous Manhattan skyline in recent years, complete with its oxidised copper facade and New York’s highest skybridge. Completed in 2017, an address at this luxury apartment complex is one of NYC’s most coveted.
Commanding the building’s highest floors and vast rooftop, The Sentry’s skyline bar, lounge and pool area offers guests a private oasis to relax and unwind in surroundings like no other. Premium cocktails, liquors, champagnes, wines and top-quality food are on offer throughout the day in the bar and lounge, which is open to non-members on selected occasions – perhaps in the knowledge that few could experience everything on offer during an afternoon at The Sentry and not immediately reach for a membership form.
However, the rooftop pool – surrounded by lush greenery and plenty of chic poolside furniture – is strictly members-only! So, if you find yourself in possession of one of NYC’s hottest memberships and feel that a day enjoying the pool could be elevated only by the company of a good friend, you’d best begin asking around your social circle.

Applications for the 2021 season are now open to residents of the American Copper Buildings but are expected to open to non-residents within the coming weeks, as the doors to The Sentry are set to re-open in late May. Current fees stand at $2600 for a single person, while couples can gain access to the club for a total of $4300 when they purchase a membership together.
