The Oscars 2022 — The Full Winners List

The Oscars 2022 are over after a dramatic ceremony saw Will Smith hit Chris Rock following a joke at Jada Smith’s expense — however, the night proved interesting in the more traditional sense with several films in close competition to take home the awards.

It was a close race that saw the Apple TV+ film CODA become favoured over Netflix’s Power of Dog. Other films such as Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s Drive My Car and Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story were in contention this year.

Favourites on the acting front included Will Smith for his role in King Richard, Ariana DeBose for her performance in West Side Story, CODA’s Troy Kotsur as well as Jessica Chastain in The Eyes of Tammy Faye.

Dune ended the night with the most awards, taking home six Oscars while Power of Dog was the most nominated.
