London’s Top Chefs And DJs Team Up To Deliver A New Kind Of Festival
Many big-name events are unable to go ahead this summer but thankfully – one innovative festival experience is still very much on the table.
Dominic Cools-Latrigue, founder of Street Feast, and entrepreneur Bejay Mulenga have teamed up to bring us The Great Feast of London, a new and exciting festival combining food, music and wellness which takes place from today, 3rd of July until the 5th.
Across the event, guests will be able to take part in a range of different experiences, both on and offline, which will be complemented by dishes cooked by some of London’s top chefs, including Michelin-starred Ollie Dabbous (HIDE, Mayfair) and Nuno Mendes (Chiltern Firehouse, Marylebone).
The event caters to all taste – starting with those that prefer getting their food delivered. Aiming to replicate the experience of booking a table at your favourite restaurant Great Feast will take your food wherever you are once you place an order; whether it is in your home, garden, or social distancing with friends in one of London’s beautiful parks. Delivered with a personal note from the chef, along with a playlist created specially by the restaurant to enhance your dining experience, this promises to make the moment a special occasion.
If instead, you prefer to try your hand at cooking some of London’s top menu items for yourself. then there are also meal kits available to order. Join a live cookalong with the chefs and watch the professionals at work. If you enjoy a drink or two with dinner, then be sure to take advantage of the cocktail masterclasses over the weekend – you can pre-order everything that you need to take part through The Great Feast of London site here.
And of course, no festival would be complete without great music, so there’s also a range of fantastic music events in collaboration with Soho Radio running across the weekend; including sets from DJ superstars Goldie, Basement Jaxx and Groove Armada.
For those of you that have been nostalgic for London’s famous party atmosphere, there’s the infamous Morning Gloryville Saturday morning. Nothing like a good ol’ Great Feast Rave!
If wellness is more to your taste, then the Great Feast festival has you covered also. Featuring exercise and wellbeing events that cover everything from yoga to meditation and even a 1980s aerobics class in collaboration with Lycra 80s Party – there really is something for everyone.
The Great Feast Of London is not just any festival, is is partnering with A Plate For London, and matching every meal ordered throughout the two days with another one for a Londoner in need.
“A city is nothing without its people, so across the weekend, The Great Feast of London will be feeding and entertaining the people who make this city what it is,” founder Dominic Cools-Lartigue explained.
“The festival gives us the opportunity to inspire Londoners through world-class
chefs, performers, and thinkers whilst also raising funds to feed our neighbours in
need.”
With such a wide range of events and delicious dishes available, one thing is for sure: The Great Feast of London will make for a great weekend for everyone. The Great Feast of London takes place across the city, 3rd – 5th July. To view the full line-up and ‘book a table’, visit greatfeast.com
