Seychelles | Visit The Islands Of Utopia For A Slice Of Summer Paradise

June 17, 2022

Seychelles arguably has the best beaches. This tropical paradise should be on everyone’s summer holiday getaway list – here’s why.

Welcome to Seychelles, a must-see location if you are thinking of travelling anywhere with abundant sun, sand and giant tortoises.

This luxury destination is an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, a dot off the coast of East Africa. Seychelles was once named ‘The Original Garden of Eden’ for a reason.

Packed with elegant resorts, your 2022 summer vacation will take you to an unspoilt tropical paradise on the mainland called Mahé. Still, you want to have Curieuse Island on your list. This island is a beautiful quiet spot crawling with giant tortoises. It’s one of the only places in Seychelles where they roam freely, and there is plenty of foliage around to feed them.

If the slow life isn’t for you, another great option is La Digue Island. This is Seychelle’s most picturesque spot for anyone looking to kick back and relax. Everyone gets around the island on bicycles. And there are plenty of tropical beaches to explore. The most iconic of them all has to be Anse Source d’Argent.

It’s the most photographed beach in the world and features incredible white sands with intriguing rock formations. You could probably get enough shots in one day to fill your Instagram for a month. The water gets deep slowly here as well, meaning you can walk far out into the ocean and step into nature.

Okay, so if you’re fed up with relaxing and need a little more adventure on your trip, there are plenty of things on offer in Seychelles to help fulfil your adrenaline. For example, why not visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which houses the cocoa demand found on Praslin island?

The plants are so huge there that it feels like you’ve stepped onto the set of Jurassic Park – the island cannot get enough of giant fish and sneaky tortoises.

If nature is where it’s at for you, ziplining through forest canopies couldn’t be a better suggestion. You can do this at any resort or take a helicopter ride to see some of the most sensational spots available from the best vantage points.

Regarding resting your head on a bed for the night, the Telegraph suggests North Island Seychelles for £5,676 per night, or you could try the Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa for a divine treat.

Either way, island-hop, explore or kick your feet up on the white golden sands of paradise. Seychelles is the place to be.
