Complete lineup for the Platinum Party.

The concert will also feature sets from Ella Eyre, Hans Zimmer, Duran Duran, Craig David, Alicia Keys, Eurovision singer Sam Ryder, Elbow, Andrea Bocelli, Mabel, Jax Jones, Celeste, Sigala, Nile Rodgers and more.

Named Platinum Party, the concert will take place at Buckingham Place in London on Saturday, June 4 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th anniversary on the throne.  The Platinum Party stage design will feature three stages linked by walkways – creating a 360-degree experience in front of the Palace and the Queen Victoria Memorial. Also, the stages will be linked by 70 columns representing the Queen’s reign.

Around 22,000 people will watch the show live and it will be broadcast on BBC One, iPlayer and Radio 2, with a television presenter Kristy Young and a radio host Roman Kemp. During an interview at Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, Queen guitarist Brian May gave a hint about the band’s involvement in the Platinum Party. He said: “I don’t think I’m allowed to tell you this but something might happen.

“There is talk of something happening. What can I tell you? We may be there, we may actually be there. Of course, it’s hard to follow standing on the roof of Buckingham Palace but you never know it might be possible.”

Queen and their frontman Adam Lambert will open the Platinum Party. The band said: “20 years after playing the Queen’s glorious Golden Jubilee we’re very happy to be invited again.

“Then there was a moment when I wondered… after the Buckingham Palace roof, where can you go? Well… you will see!”

Meanwhile, Diana Ross, who will close the concert, said in a statement: “I have had the honour of meeting The Queen many times throughout my life, including when I was with my family.

Her Majesty has and continues to be such an incredible inspiration to so many across the world and I was absolutely delighted to receive an invitation to perform on such a momentous and historic occasion.”

Besides that, Elton John will provide a pre-recorded performance as currently, he is out on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road world tour.

According to the statement announcing the event, “The evening will pivot around global themes that have been born, or evolved, during the breadth of Her Majesty’s reign due to extraordinary British and Commonwealth contributions including Fashion, Sport, The Environment, 70 Years of Pop Music and Musicals.”

In addition to that, many other famous personalities will be there, including Sir David Attenborough, Stephen Fry, Dame Julie Andrew, The Royal Ballet and Paralympian swimmer Ellie Simmonds.

Elsewhere, music fans are in luck as the iconic Lin Manuel Miranda will also be there with the performances from The Phantom of the Opera, Hamilton, Six, The Lion King and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
