Las Vegas comes to East London with the launch of this new pool, casino lounge and club.
Occupying the former site of music venue McQueens, Q Shoreditch aims to bring the sin city to East London. With several top-end pool and ‘fun casino’ tables over two floors, the venue wants to tap into the experiential market and offer something other than just drinks and music.
Jimmy ‘The Whirlwind’ White MBE was playing pool against anyone brave enough to take him on all night and legendary ibiza DJ Fat Tony was on the decks filling the basement whilst a saxophonist played and dancers in rainbow illuminated dresses shimmered on the dance floor.
Guests could swap the chalk for chips and play at their choice of roulette, blackjack or poker — each table managed by a professional croupier.
The mini den of inequity was in full force on the night, with showgirls serving a signature cocktail called Shooting out the Lights (Sipsmiths lemon drizzle gin, sorbet and Moet et Chandon Champagne) to guests that included owner Dezzi McCausland, Lisa Nash, Tallulah Eve, DJ Egypt, magician Maxmillian, actor Andre Harvey and Eyal Booker.
