Best Outdoor London Rooftops And Restaurants To Look Forward To

May 18, 2020

Here’s where you can find us as soon as lockdown ends

It finally looks like there may be a light at the end of the Covid-lockdown tunnel. Although the government has been, perhaps purposefully, vague about their reopening strategy, we are hearing very credible rumours that the hospitality industry may begin to open up in the next month or two.

Not only would this be a blessing as we can finally begin to see each other once again, it would allow us to enjoy the many wonderful restaurants and bars that have been anxiously awaiting to open their doors. Here at DDW, we are as excited as ever to delve into those new spaces and enjoy fresh drinks and beautiful food (for once not cooked or prepared at home!).

On the top of our must-visit list are the venues with terraces and outdoor areas; not just for their fun/cool factor but also to maintain social distancing measures easily. We have compiled a list of the very best – take a look, wanderlust and mark your calendars for some amazing summer fun coming up:

Marylebone London Rooftops And Restaurants
If there’s ever been a venue to reshape and impact London’s social scene – it is definitely Chiltern. The terrace is tucked away in Marylebone and without fail will play host to the world’s jet-set. The hotel just received permission for an extension onto the front facing pavement ensuring that those outdoor seats will be the hottest ones in town.

La Famiglia

A Chelsea classic. The outdoor garden is legendary, everyone from Princess Diana to Prince have dinned here. Charm and the Italian spirit ooze elegance from this generational family-run restaurant.

The Chelsea Ivy Garden

See and be seen; this is the mantra of the Annabel’s Garden. Run into Royalty and eurotrash alike, there’s no other place like it in London. Always other-the-top it’s engineered for highbrow fun… it even has a giant 2 tonne retractable glass roof to ensure not even the weather can stop your good times.

Perhaps it’s just our imagination but London has definitely gotten warmer over the years.
