Louis Vuitton Joins The Gym

April 21, 2020

The Ultimate Gym Gear To Keep You In Fashionable Shape

The Louis Vuitton brand has never been afraid to push boundaries. Originally founded in 1854 as a premium luggage house, LV has grown from strength to strength into the fashion house behemoth we know today – flowing with global trends whilst keeping current and not forgetting their origins in travel.

Ever embracing this mindset, the French brand launched a series of home gym equipment this week designed with its signature monogram – providing its legions of loyal customers that can no longer travel during lockdown with a taste of luxury.

Beginning with a pair of dumbbells (offered at an eye-opening £1730, $2135, for the pair), the new gym line carries a skipping rope (£425 / $524) and a ping-pong set of two bats and four balls (£1450 / $1788), with more items rumoured to be released soon.

Even-though prices are predictably steep for these LV monogramed items, they are selling fast, with fans, collectors and resellers hunting online for these first pieces. Past Louis Vuitton sports collaborations with designer Karl Lagerfeld (a punching bag and boxing set) are highly sought-after collectors items so the current collection is a hot ticket.

However, do not be discouraged  if you can’t get your hands on them just yet,  if nothing else; there will inevitably be an Instagram post by Kim Kardashian playing LV ping pong with Kanye, dressed in full LV tracksuits coming your way.
