Johnny Depp’s Summer Tour 2023 with Supergroup Hollywood Vampires Announced

June 28, 2022

Depp is returning to stage once again with rock supergroup Hollywood Vampires announcing what will be Johnny Depp’s Summer tour.

Weeks after the trial, it had seemed that the Hollywood star’s future was up in the air. Many are unsure if Depp would return to the big screen or instead be taking a break. That was until last week when the rock supergroup Hollywood Vampires announced they would be regrouping for a European tour next year. Johnny Depp’s Summer tour is set to commence in June of next year.

The supergroup, consisting of Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, Tommy Henricksen and Joe Perry, had actually disbanded in 2019 with plans to go on a reunion tour in the summer of 2021. Due to reasons out of their control, the reunion tour was cancelled with the band soon being forgotten. That was until last week when the news got out of Johnny Depp’s Summer Tour.

That was until now

Hollywood Vampires stepped out of the woodwork to announce that fans would finally be able to see the rescheduled gigs in what many are calling Johnny Depp‘s summer tour.

The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star will rejoin his old bandmates as the Hollywood Vampires are set to perform in Germany and Luxembourg next summer with more dates rumoured to be in the pipeline.

The announcement of Johnny Depp’s summer tour took many fans by surprise but it would seem following Depp’s recent musical ventures that it will be a tour and experience many will talk about for months and years to come with the news sending waves across the music world.

Depp had impressed fans last month after making a guest appearance at one of Jeff Beck’s concerts in the UK. Depp went on to become an integral part of Beck’s tour with Beck confirming the actor would be joining him on stage for a further five dates, all in the midst of the defamation trial.

Fans fell in love with the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean star all over again as he swapped the limelight for something a bit more intimate and humble. Those who are sad they missed his performances across the UK will now have a chance to see the actor shredding on stage next year with Johnny Depp’s summer tour kicking off in June 2023.

What may have shocked fans, even more, is that Depp and Beck announced they would be working on a joint album titled 18 this summer, ironically, the album consists of 13 tracks and is set to be released next month with two of the tracks written by Jack Sparrow himself.

With many fans hoping they’d see Johnny Depp back on the big screen instead, it seems they may have to hold out for a little longer. After the six-week trial, it would appear Depp is looking to have a bit more freedom in the upcoming months and instead pursue more liberating and passion-fuelled projects, after all, following the trial’s verdict, it would seem the already loaded star will certainly not be short of cash anytime soon.

The blues and rock supergroup confirmed the news last week on their official Instagram with a post captioned ‘The Hollywood Vampires are BACK!!’, with six dates already being confirmed, the group had teased fans to ‘keep an eye out for more.

It may be nearly three years after the originally scheduled summer dates but fans of the rock/blues supergroup will certainly be happy that it’s better late than never. Following recent ongoings, it would seem that rather than this being the Hollywood Vampires reunion, more fans are just excited to be part of Johnny Depp’s summer tour with the actor once again on the up, certainly not running low of any star power.
