It’s Officially An ‘August Rush’, So Where To Now?

August 2, 2022

For those longing for warm weather, a natural tan or an unexpected summer romance, we have you covered. Here is where to travel in August 2022.

If you’ve been craving to treat yourself to a delicious vacation, then now is the best time to do it. In August – sunny days and warm weather are considered high-end in the Northern Hemisphere. So make the most out of the last summer month before launching to grab your deluxe skis this winter.

Travel in August still calls for typically hot weather and blue horizons, but if you want to blend in, then check out these four hot spots celebrities may be flocking to this month:

Travel To Costa Rica, The Rich Coast Of Central America

This small country, almost the size of Lake Michigan, sits at the meeting point of Latin and Central America. It is full of hot-blooded Latinas and, like the forbidden fruit, is packed with desirable, luxurious temptations.

Besides being underpinned by the impact of the cocaine trade, which gave its high rising-living reputation, Costa Rica is also close to being labelled a near-tax haven. In a tax-friendly country, celebrities and A-listers spend much of their time lounging in mega-mansions on the island.

Although they may not invite you inside, try the Four Seasons Resort, The Springs Resort & Spa or Tulemar Resort to get an idea. Costa Rica has become a prime vacation spot for Selena Gomez, George Clooney, Rafa Nadal, Leonardo DiCaprio, Usher, Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé and Jaz-Z, Chris Hemsworth, and Matt Damon.

Bora Bora, The Island Whose Opulent Hotels Are Built To Serve

Bora Bora is more than tranquil evenings, blonde beaches, and sun-kissed bodies. Although the weather is a significant pull factor for this island, it benefits from a tropical monsoon climate all year round. Perched over the water on stilts, the tiny South Pacific island – has become an A-list destination for celebrities and the super-rich for centuries.

This once active volcano site is now a hub for anyone looking to lay their head in the palm-fringed islets or, should I say, the floating five-star luxuries. The magic gateway to paradise may be on the petite side, but it comes with hefty price tags. Some of the most popular places to stay are The St. Regis Resort, The Le Bora Bora and The Conrad Nui (Hilton).

Expect to see the likes of Jennifer Anniston, any of the Kardashians, Chelsea Handler, Shayne Lamas, and Jason Bateman roaming around the four seasons. From the sharply-dressed coral reefs to the deadly swagger of the stingrays – travel to Bora Bora this August because it sure won’t disappoint.

Travel In August To Lake Como

Lake Como, in Northern Italy’s Lombardy region, is an upscale resort known for its dramatic scenery, set against the foothills of the Alps. For 2000 years, it has been described as one of the world’s most beautiful and romantic places. But most of all, it is considered the ‘James Bond’ of Italy.

With glistening red Ferraris weaving through narrow lakeside towns and neoclassical villas, you can expect many celebrities and A-listers hanging around. Celebrities who own villas on its shores are George Clooney, Madonna, Richard Branson, Gianni Versace, and Ronaldinho, just to mention a few.

But celeb-spotting aside, it’s known for jaw-dropping natural surroundings, elegant old villas–and the scenic towns surrounding the lake. All the luxurious places you would want are on the lake’s edges. For a five-star experience, options would have to be the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, Hotel Belvedere or the Mandarin Oriental.

Last but not least is the Greek island Mykonos. After a cool down from a day in the sun, it’s time to indulge in one of Greece’s best-kept secrets. Thanks to the strict building regulations, the town has retained its blue-domed maze with tiny lanes, whitewashed steps and traditional architecture.

This means that privacy for anyone in the super-rich lane can enjoy a cup of Ouzo on a stress-less holiday. But for those who wish to show face, Mykonos is also well-known for its nightlife. Staying at the Cavo Tagoo Mykonos or Santa Marina is highly recommended. So if you want to get lit in Mykonos and dance alongside celebrities like Marlon Brando, Elizabeth Taylor, Princess Soraya, Brigitte Bardot, Grace Kelly or Paris Hilton, then this is the place to be.
