The weekend’s over and Monday’s finally here. Meaning only two things, many are back to work, and many are on day two of nursing that terrible weekend hangover. That’s where Myrkl comes in.
With the fitness industry touting multiple natural and unorthodox cures to hangovers — vitamin c effervescence, immune defence vitamins, painkillers before bed and even caffeine tablets. The reality is, nothing we can do can prevent that horrid feeling, but we can, at least, cure it. Introducing Myrkl, the pre-drinking anti-hangover pill, backed by science.
The Myrkl pill is said to be able to break down up to 70% of alcohol in the system, at the very least. With the over-intoxication on the liver and stomach being the main reason for that hangover feeling, having 70% less in the system is sure to make a difference.
Created by the Swedish Medical company, De Faire Medical. The Myrkl pill is made up of only four ingredients. Two probiotics, Bacillus Coagulans and Bacillus Subtilis, known for breaking down toxins in the body and preventing inflammation. The antioxidising amino acid L-Cysteine, which keeps the body hydrated, turning toxins into water and carbon dioxide. And lastly, vitamin B12. Known for its mental and physical energy-boosting qualities. Collectively, the probiotics and L-Cysteine work in unison to cleanse the body of alcohol and toxins with Vitamin B12 acting as an energy precursor.
Impressive to say the least, but what’s also surprising. Is that the pill, which is said to be backed by science, hasn’t included Glutathione in its ingredient list. Possibly due to the cost of this amino.
Glutathione is one of the few, anti-oxidising natural amino acids that has also been scientifically proven to prevent hangovers when taken before bed. Freeing the body of all free radicals and oxidising stress levels. Glutathione, which is broken down through the liver, cleans out any unwanted visitors and also acts similarly to L-Cysteine, turning the toxins into an energy source.
Myrkl Chief executive, Håkan Magnusson has described the supplement as being a game changer that will leave consumers ‘feeling their best the next day’.
‘Moderate social drinking is a huge part of British culture, with the majority of British people heading out each week to enjoy a few drinks together. Myrkl’s purpose is therefore to help those regular moderate drinkers to wake up feeling their best the next day, whether they’re a busy working professional, young parents, or seniors who want to maintain an active social life.’ Magnusson explains.
The Myrkl pill comes in packs of 30, with the recommended dosage being two tablets before a night of drinking. Costing a total of £30 or £1 a tablet. A pack of Myrkl pills should be enough to cover you for 15 big nights out, so use them wisely.
While the Myrkl pills will surely help your body break down the excess toxins, Magnusson also recommends for users to stay hydrated. The pill itself, on top of a night of heavy drinking, will drain the body’s hydration centres, so it’s of utmost importance, for party-goers to get the most of Myrkl’s benefits, that they keep themselves hydrated before bed.
