Dior Spa Cheval Blanc Cruise is Dior’s New Venture in Paris

July 1, 2022

You may have tried a cruise down the seine, but have you tried the Dior Spa Cheval Blanc cruise? We think not (yet).

Paris is best seen from the Seine. Why? Because a ride down the river ticks off plenty of bucket-list Parisian monuments, and the very thought of sipping on some vin rouge on a boat feels eerily fitting to the city of love.

And Dior, from the 29th of June to the 13th of July is prepped to offer you just that, plus the added bonus of doing so on a floating spa.

Say whaaaat?

Marking the occasion of Parisian Haute Couture week, Dior is launching a unique cruise experience offering a 2h spa down the Seine, with 60 minutes worth of face and body treatments. The exclusivity doesn’t end there. Only 5 lucky passengers are allowed on the boat, per trip.

Dior claims to have been inspired by the Bains de la Samaritaine, the most luxurious Parisian baths of the 19th century which offered cosmetic and medicinal treatments, steam baths and hydrotherapy.

The boat’s upper deck will reflect this luxury; rattan decorations and parasols in blue toile de jouy evoke French Riviera exquisiteness. The lower levels are more intimate, featuring nooks and crannies to explore the spa in private comfort.

The treatment menu features lusciously distinct options; the Prestige Cruise (750EUR) which makes use of the regenerative powers of the Granville rose, and the L’or de Vie Cruise (750EUR), which utilises Yquem sap.

In terms of body treatments, the options are relaxing or energising (670EUR), both aiming to holistically treat every fragment of body and soul. Once the treatments finish, the guests are then invited to enjoy the remainder of the cruise at the upper deck, accompanied by a cocktail to re-trace Christian Dior’s favourite promenades down the French capital.

For 6 of the cruise journeys, Dior has also invited a series of guests for what Dior has called sport morning cruises. Amongst the guests we find Julie Pujols-Benoît, Mehdi el Mabrouk, Chen Yi The, and Shannon the Bar to teach yoga, tai-chi and dance.

In addition to all this goodness, Dior also offers the possibility of privatising the experience, which brings the price point up to 1500 for a 2h cruise including 1 hour worth of face treatment or body massage.

The news of the Dior Spa Cheval Blanc Cruise come right after Dior absolutely smashed it at Paris fashion week with their interpretations of romantic European summer bliss. Their runway, which DDW covered and you can find here, made an exceptional interpretation of utilitarian garden-wear and has been making headlines since its debut.
