Big things come in small packages when dealing with UFC superstar Conor McGregor aka ‘The Notorious’. A few days ago, he collected his super-yacht in Monaco after around seven months of waiting for the vessel – and boy is it ready.
He is one of the most prominent comeback artists: he collected titles and millions of dollars from the UFC and boxing realms. Now, Irish mixed martial artist Conor McGregor owns a multi-million dollar speedboat made by the Italian car empire Lamborghini.
Ever since the 33-year-old was named the wealthiest athlete in the world earlier this year, having made a staggering $160 Million between May 1 of 2020 and the same date in 2021, which ousted football’s leading stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo by yards.
With a net worth of $200 Million, his latest purchase joins “a whole host of opulent toys, including a series of cars such as the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster and his Urus.”
McGregor started his sporting career in 2008, and in 2012 he held the cage warriors featherweight title and the light weight. This made him the first European MMA fighter to hold titles simultaneously.
His bold style and incredible fighting ability have made him the most extensive paper view draw in MMA history.
After selling a huge stake in his Proper Number 12 whiskey brand, he earned $150 million alone out of the ring. Not to mention several brand deals along the way, including Reebox, Monster Energy, Burger King and Beats by Dr Dre.
The Notorious has always had a love for boats. After receiving a massive paycheck for his Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather battle, he purchased a vessel in 2017 called 188. Fast forward to 2022, his new baby – a custom-made Lamborghini Tecnomar 63 yacht created by Lazzarini Design Studio.
The luxury yacht is the ‘supercar of the sea’ and is made mainly from carbon fibre. As a result, even though it’s 63 feet in length, it only weighs 24 tonnes 63 feet long while capable of producing 2000hp.
Aside from its sleek green exterior, the Lambo-yacht comes with high-class interiors. Firstly there is a large open lounge with sofas. There’s also a private bathroom and a bedroom holding a King-sized bed. It also comes with a fully functional kitchen, dining room, and tanning area.
With a green hull, the luxury sea-liner will also pay homage to his whiskey brand Proper Twelve, which he sold in April last year for around $150 Million.
Post after post, the star has been blasting numerous social media posts of him racing his new beauty in Italy with his family – well, if I paid over $3 Million for it, so would I.
