The four major fashion weeks may have just wrapped but there’s no rest for the wicked (or the world’s biggest designers), with the 2022 BAFTAs playing host to its own fashion show of sorts at London’s Royal Albert Hall last night.
Despite a very different awards season, with the Grammys being postponed and the Golden Globes being boycotted, the BAFTAs 2022 was back in all its glory, with industry veterans and up-and-coming stars rocking the red carpet in looks worthy of Hollywood.
Below, DDW has rounded up 10 favourite looks from the BAFTA’s red carpet.
Daisy Edgar-Jones
In this Gucci gown, Daisy Edgar-Jones channelled old Hollywood glamour and pretty much stole the show. More of Daisy on the red carpet, please.
Daniel Kaluuya
When it comes to red carpet attire, Daniel Kaluuya consistently delivers. At the 2022 BAFTAs he was in a complete fresh-off-the-catwalk Prada fit.
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga has been dressing pretty outrageously since House of Gucci came out and we’re certainly not upset about it. Case in point: this Ralph Lauren gown paired sky high platform heels.
Florence Pugh
Florence Pugh went full devil to angel with this look.
Rebel Wilson
The night’s host, Rebel Wilson, dazzled in a black tulle and blue sequin gown.
Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek was in full bombshell mode at the BAFTAs, dressed in a velvet Gucci gown that accentuated her famous figure.
Millie Bobby Brown
Millie Bobby Brown‘s BAFTA’s look was full goth princess vibes. And we’re here for it.
Bimini Bon-Boulash
Bimini Bon Boulash of Drag Race wore an epic take on opera gloves by pairing some brilliant blue gloves with an all-white look.
Simone Ashley
In this straight-off-the-runway Valentino caped trouser suit, Bridgerton’s season 2 lead and Sex Education actress Simone Ashley made a statement.
Haley Bennett
Another actress that elivered high drama in Valentino (Haute Couture this time, though) for the evening was Haley Bennett.
