5 Celebrities With Multiple Sources of Income

May 9, 2023

From children’s book author to owning restaurants and venture-capital firms: here’s how celebrities are diversifying their business portfolio with multiple sources of income.

You don’t have to have read many economy self-help books to be familiar with the phrase “diversify your sources of income”. It’s a pretty bog standard in current financial advice gimmicks – so it should come as no surprise that even celebrities have started to apply that logic into how they manage their finances.

Whilst some are more well-known ventures, such as Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty, or Bella Hadid’s recent Kin Euphorics, but others fly low on the radar. Let’s delve into some of the most intriguing and unexpected examples.

Madonna

When it comes to Madonna, scandal seems to be her forte. However, amidst the whirlwind of controversy, one revelation stands out as particularly unusual – her unexpected talent as a beloved children’s author. Behind the scenes, this iconic singer has quietly amassed an impressive collection of children’s books, captivating young readers with her imaginative storytelling.

When she’s not writing books or selling out stadiums, however, she’s working on her clothing line, Material Girl, which she created alongside her daughter Lourdes.

Kevin Hart

What exactly does Kevin Hart do? Is he a comedian, an actor, a podcast host, or all of the above? Turns out he’s much more than what we have grown accustomed to knowing him for, as Hart is the owner of a successful media company called Hartbeat. Centered around what Hart is best at, comedy, the media company is made up of a team of industry leaders looking to shape the world of comedy.

Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, he’s got a tequila company in the making too.

Chopra is one of the most diverse celebrities out there, with her business portfolio ranging from a successful production company, to co-owner of a New York restaurant or the homeware brand Sona Home. She amounts to a net worth of $70 million dollars, which makes sense after reviewing her incredibly diversified income sources.

Ashton Kutcher

It’s a bit of a stretch but it could be said that we wouldn’t have Uber, Airbnb, Spotify, Shazam, and Soundcloud without the likes of Ashton Kutcher. Through his venture-capital firm A-Grade Investments, Kutcher has contributed to some of the most disruptive companies of our time.

During the early stages, investment figures estimated by The New York Times ranged from $50,000 to $200,000 but the magnitude of his involvement only became truly apparent in 2014 when TechTimes revealed that his investments had surpassed a staggering $100 million.

Lisa Vanderpump

It doesn’t take more than a few seasons of Housewives to realise that Lisa Vanderpump has a thing for businesses. One of these is her very own sangría brand, which pair well alongside her various restaurants and pet brands.
